ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL WHO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT US THROUGH CITYGATE

As you know, Lauren Edwards has joined us here in Spain. Please make sure that when you give towards Andrew and me, that you choose “Missions: Spain (Maiya)“If you have recurring giving that doesn’t have my name in the memo, please also update that. If you have further questions please get in contact!

SPECIAL REQUEST

If you are not a regular monthly financial supporter, we would like to ask you if you would pray about committing to give monthly. As you can imagine, with inflation, and having a 6-month old baby, our cost of living has increased. Because of that, any amount would be a great help.

For example: $10 a month is a week’s worth of diapers, $20 a month gets us coffee, $50 a month pays for our internet.

If you would like more information about becoming a monthly supporter, or have any questions, private message me.

WE ARE IN THE STATES!! IF WE DON’T ALREADY HAVE A DATE ON THE CALENDAR, CHECK OUT THE DATES (BELOW) & HIT ME UP SO WE CAN SYNC UP OUR CALENDARS!

If you would like to help with expenses while in the states, you can do so through any of the links below, and specify “stateside travels”.

Here’s my “book” for the month of October. Grab your preferred beverage, kick back, and let’s jump in!

MINISTRY LIFE

Andrew and I are already stateside, but before arriving here, we left behind a very busy month of October.

During the first two weeks of October, Andrew had the opportunity to teach on the Bible in the DTS, and then took part in one of Impact’s events in a city close by called Camarma (pictured above). It was an event where 2 Protestant churches and the Catholic parish of the city came together, in this small town of a little over 7,000 people. In this event, about 800 people were able to hear the gospel, and about 190 people responded to the call to surrender their lives to Christ.

We ended the month with our annual Fall Fest for the neighborhood. Just like in the states, we have game stations for the kids to play and then receive some candy. However, we also have a “show” element, where Impact takes over and captures everyone’s attention. Since we have been creating relationship with our neighborhood for many years, we felt that it was time to not only have a Fall
Fest to build connection in the neighborhood, but also as an opportunity for these people to hear the gospel, and make a connection with Christ
. We advertised this Fall Fest as a time to “celebrate Life”, as we were planning to take time during our “show element” to explain. And then the day finally arrived, as did THE RAIN!

However, with our plan B, we saw a little over 100 people show up that night (pictured above), including the town hall counselor of wellbeing, education, and immigration. And when the time came for people to respond to the question of whether they wanted to know this Jesus Christ who is the Light and the Life, this was the response (pictured here).

Of the ones who lifted their hands, 13 of them accepted the invitation to join us for an ALPHA gathering. If you remember from last spring, I shared with you that ALPHA is 10-week evangelistic small group that consist of videos that challenge and open up discussions that lead to a moment to make Jesus their Lord. Please be praying for the Transformation team as we walk along side these individuals.

FAMILY LIFE

DATES FOR THE STATES

Andrew and I are in the states!! We will be here until December 5th.

Currently, we are in GA, and will be here until Sunday, the 20th, where we will return to NC, to finish out our trip.

We would love to be able to connect with you while we are stateside, so let’s sync up our calendars!! You can send me a, text message, a whatsapp, facebook message, DM on Instagram, or even just respond to this email to find a date and time that works :). Can’t wait to see you!!

Stateside trip expenses

Being here is WONDERFUL, but we are still in need of a little help with the daily expenses that arise while stateside (diapers, gas, food, etc).

If you would like to give towards our trip in the states (to help with expenses while in the states), you can do so through any of the links below, and specify “stateside travels”. No matter the amount ($20, $50, $500, etc.), we GREATLY appreciate it!

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, Ashely came to visit!

I was given the opportunity to take part in a retreat for all the wives of YWAM Spain. Not ALL attended, but as you can see in the above picture, we were a pretty big group. If I’m being honest, I didn’t even want to go on this retreat – I didn’t want to be “stuck with a bunch of females doing girly things”..haha (if you know me, you KNOW). However, God changed my heart, and I began to write various people to help me to be able to take part in this weekend, and I am SOOO glad I did.

It was really nice getting to connect with other wives who love God and hear from Him, and aren’t afraid to challenge you. It was also my first weekend away from my sweet girl, but daddy kept my phone loaded with pix. I’m so grateful to be in a place that creates a space for opportunities such as this. And yes, it was much more than a weekend of “girl things”.

💛I S A B E L A💛

Our girl is now 6 months old (soon to be 7 months on the 21st), and is now crawling!! Almost as soon as she was able to manage this whole crawling thing, she started pulling up and thinks she should be walking. PRAY FOR ME!!

She, like her daddy, has a fascination with cables. Pictured above is her daddy when he was a baby (top left) and Isa now. But don’t worry, this cable isn’t connected to anything 🙂.

She has already gone on her first international flight, which went fairly well. You can see (pictured below) how we tried to help her be as comfy as possible.

Blessings!

Andrew, Maiya, & Isabela Kuettner

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Base-wide
    • Extra storage space to be able to empty the space where the community dining room will go.
  • Impact
    • Guidance for how to go about starting the “community of faith”, which is launching in December.
  • Transformation
    • Wisdom with the ALPHA gatherings.
    • Favor with the people around the community as we make connections (especially with the town hall)
  • Andrew and Me
    • Spanish License. Favor with the whole process – finding the right place for taking / passing / paying for the class.
    • Finances. Daily expenses and especially with the increase in gas prices (as you can imagine)
    • Wisdom for Andrew and me on being husband & wife and parents and missionaries, and now relationship mentors.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

We want to thank ALL of you for being with us in this fun adventure as missionaries. Thank you for faithfully praying and faithfully giving each month.

For those of you who have been with us since the beginning, we would like to ask if you would also pray about an incremental increase. Just an additional 10% each month would go a long way to help us keep up with the costs of living here in Spain, especially with inflation!

If you are not a regular monthly financial supporter, we would like to ask you if you would also pray about committing to give monthly. As you can imagine, with inflation, and having a 6-month old baby, our cost of living has increased. Because of that, any amount would be a great help.

For example: $10 a month is a week’s worth of diapers, $20 a month gets us coffee, $50 a month pays for our internet.

Thank you all soooo much for being with us in this!!
